Primordia Mushrooms grows gourmet mushrooms using low value waste materials which are generally discarded or are difficult to reuse. Whilst most gourmet mushrooms sold in South Australia are imported, Primordia Mushrooms will provide a high quality locally grown alternative with a lower carbon footprint.

Mushrooms are amazing organisms and due to their unique metabolism Primordia Mushrooms can incorporate coffee grounds, shredded paper and agricultural waste products into the growing cycle, to produce a delicious product whilst reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions from landfill. We’re excited to be working with the Willunga Farmers Market, Adelaide and Mt Lofty NRM Board, the City of Onkaparinga and Fleurieu Food to bring you something new and exciting to eat!
